I love circles, lines and spheres. They remind me our lives and the eternity. The real life is infinite, as a circle is composed of cycles. The beauty of circles is that even when it looks simple, it consists of many complex cycles with a lot around. Enjoy the tide of this miracle, LIFE. "Sunset, Key West" 16x20x1 Sunsets always make feel like I'm in a perfect movie waiting for the expected perfect ending. The sunset is a continuous cycle of life. It is spectacular, serene, exciting, intense, romantic, lively, calming, and more. The sun is a circle of life. About Maria C"When I experienced the passion for art, I wanted to create art forever." Maria Carmen I am Maria Carmen, a versatile contemporary artist. I am a local and an international artist by nature. I was born in Venezuela with a Portuguese heritage. I have lived in Venezuela, Portugal, Spain, and currently live in the United States. I have traveled extensively around the world. Art has always been in my life: Beginning with my mother who is a dressmaker with all kind of fabrics, colors, shapes and designs, with her cooking and special cakes and continue with my contact with the different places, amazing people, and nature. I love it all. I started painting in 2000 because I love the dynamic process of painting itself, how paint changes a canvas, a paper, a piece wood, glass or metal, and I especially love the transformation that a painting does in a room and people. I also took an art workshop in 2006 at Kennesaw State University at College of Continuing and Professional Education and since then, painting and art are an integral part of my life. "I see and hear art everywhere." Inspired and passionate by nature, by what I see everywhere, my artworks are diverse pieces that involve imagination, texture, movement, and sometimes three dimensional objects. I also like with my artwork to express simplicity and contrast. I normally have a story for my artwork. I have some of my art in permanent exhibit at my house, but also some of my artwork have being exhibited at Atlanta International Airport, at the Zucherman Museum of Art at Kennesaw State University, and other galleries and spaces in Atlanta and in Key West. I love to be around artists, people and art. https://www.instagram.com/drtstudio56/ |
